ITOTapeCode: app creation and ITO
the app builder released on 10 October 2026: a text prompt produces frontend and backend, built-in auditing with one-click fixes, one-click circuit creation and on-chain deployment, plus TapeTape and the ITO issuance model.
TapeTape
TapeCode is TapeOut's app-building tool, released on 10 October 2026; the web version is tapecode.ai. It chains "describe → generate → audit → deploy" into one flow so that people who do not write code can still ship an app that can be launched and charged for.
How it differs from general coding assistants
The official positioning: it is not another Codex or Claude Code. Those tools either make capable coders faster or let non-coders build uncommercialisable toys. TapeCode tackles the commercial questions themselves — how you ship, how you get paid, whether the contracts are safe, whether the frontend can be injected.
| Aspect | General coding assistant | TapeCode |
|---|---|---|
| For whom | people who already code, or those experimenting | people with an idea who want to ship |
| Output | code snippets and project files | deployed contracts and frontend |
| Path to launch | buy a server and domain, configure DNS | one-click circuit, container, contract and frontend deploy |
| Security | left to the user | built-in audit naming the risky line, severity and exploit |
| Running cost | monthly cloud bill | frontend lives on chain; pay gas once, then free |
| Visitor friction | an ordinary web page | no wallet, signature or gas needed |
The flow
- Describe what you want in plain text, e.g. "create a token that lets anyone claim one for free".
- It writes both frontend and backend.
- The built-in audit flags which line is risky, how severe it is, how an attacker would exploit it and what it should become.
- One-click fixes, then repeat audits — usually three or four rounds to clear every high and medium risk.
- One click creates a circuit and opens a container.
- "Deploy contract + frontend" plus a wallet approval puts you live.
- The frontend edits like an image: select the text and change it, with the code jumping to the matching spot.
The whole frontend is written into an on-chain circuit container on the same layer as the contracts: pay gas once and it runs free forever, with visitors needing no wallet, signature or gas.
TapeTape
A developer chat built into TapeCode, open at any time. Identity is set by your circuit ID rather than an email or platform account: what you did on chain is who you are.
Where it fits in DeWEB
TapeKit handles reading and rendering, circuit containers handle storage, and TapeCode decides which services users can reach — together they make up DeWEB.
ITO — Initial Tape-Out
ITO is the planned issuance model built around the circuit container: what is delivered is a project that runs on chain and can be verified byte by byte, not a document or a pool.
| Model | Deliverable | What participants verify |
|---|---|---|
| ICO | a whitepaper | the team's promise |
| IEO | an exchange endorsement | the exchange's reputation |
| IDO | a liquidity pool | the liquidity itself |
| ITO | a running, verifiable on-chain project | on-chain records, read directly |
Announced condition: if TapeCode adds more than 100 new projects a day two weeks after launch, a "one-click ITO" button opens so community members can raise capital from the apps they built.
ITO is not live yet. Until the official button appears, any project calling itself an ITO is unrelated to this mechanism.
Still early
TapeCode is less than a week old; there is no public data yet on the quality of the contracts it generates, the audit coverage, or how maintainable the results are. On-chain deployment is irreversible — weigh the audit against the risks in Security and risks.
