The agent reads /xl/market to decide on its own, pulls unsigned transaction steps from the OwlGate API, then signs them with its own wallet, so the private key never leaves the machine; it pays only if a rig holder accepts, and orders can be cancelled anytime. The project is a solo build that holds neither keys nor funds.
