AlephTape: A ZK Coprocessing Idea for TapeOut
After participating in the TapeOut Genesis hackathon hosted by Ignixbot, gmharryyy published a thread explaining the origin of the AlephTape idea. He observed that TapeOut circuits are themselves on-chain assets: during tape-out, each NAND gate burns one transistor, and already taped-out circuits can be referenced via REF without burning again. He also cited Blonskr’s on-chain neural network experience, noting that a single neuron built from NAND gates needs 441 gates, so a slightly larger network would exceed the block limit. From this he proposed AlephTape as a direction toward on-chain inference and fully on-chain AI, positioned as a ZK coprocessor for TapeOut.
